Fulham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Al-Ahli forward Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian completed a move to the Saudi Arabian club in the summer following the end of his eight-year association with Liverpool.

After joining Al-Ahli on a free transfer, Firmino went on to score a hat-trick in his Saudi Pro League debut against Al-Hazem.

However, rather than build upon his early success, he has failed to find the net in his following 18 competitive appearances for the club.

Saudi outfit Al-Qadsiah 'make De Bruyne top transfer target'

Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Qadsiah have identified Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as their top transfer target for next summer, according to a report.

The 32-year-old is Man City's longest-serving player within Pep Guardiola's current squad having spent eight-and-a-half hugely successful years at the Etihad Stadium.

De Bruyne has scored 96 goals and registered 153 assists in 358 appearances for the Citizens across all tournaments, and he was a standout performer in the club's historic treble-winning campaign in 2022-23, contributing with 10 goals and 28 assists in 49 matches.

Transfer rumours: Nketiah to Palace, Kelly to Juve, Moore to Leeds

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in the signing of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah during the January transfer window, although the Gunners are not keen on selling the player.

The 24-year-old has featured in 19 Premier League matches for Mikel Arteta's men this term - albeit only starting 10 of those - with the North Londoners competing for the Premier League title against the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Palace's interest in Nketiah is "genuine", with Roy Hodgson's men looking to complete a deal this month ahead of the second half of the campaign.

Although the Eagles will push hard for the Englishman's signature this month, it is claimed that Arsenal will not allow the forward to leave unless a replacement is brought to the Emirates Stadium.

Man United 'quoted £51m for Giorgio Scalvini'

Manchester United will be required to fork out €60m (£51m) if they wish to sign Atalanta BC defender Giorgio Scalvini in January, according to a report.

United have been tipped to move for a new centre-back in the winter window amid uncertainty over the future of Raphael Varane.

The Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order under manager Erik ten Hag this season, starting just 11 times for Man United across all competitions.

Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans have all been preferred ahead of Varane in recent weeks when fit, while Lisandro Martinez – who has been sidelined since the end of September with a foot injury – is regarded as Ten Hag's first-choice centre-back when available.

Wolves 'will not sell Arsenal-linked Pedro Neto in January'

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly have little intention of selling star winger Pedro Neto in January, amid interest from Arsenal.

The 23-year-old moved to Molineux from Lazio in the summer of 2019 and has since made 122 appearances for the West Midlands club across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 22 assists.

Neto made a strong start to the 2023-24 campaign and quicky established himself as a key player for head coach Gary O'Neil, scoring once and providing seven assists in 10 Premier League matches before picking up a hamstring injury in October.

The Portuguese made his long-awaited comeback from injury as a late substitute in Wolves' 3-0 win over Everton last weekend, and the winger is keen to win back his place in the starting lineup.

Djed Spence returns to Tottenham from Leeds loan spell

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the return of right-back Djed Spence from his loan spell at Leeds United.

Having struggled to play his way into Antonio Conte's good books after arriving from Middlesbrough in 2022, Spence dropped back down to the Championship for the 2023-24 campaign.

The 23-year-old's start to life at Elland Road was hampered by a serious ligament injury, though, and he missed two months of action before returning to Daniel Farke's squad towards the end of November.

Since making a full recovery, Spence forced his way into the Whites' starting XI, featuring from the first whistle in five successive Championship matches, four of which saw him play as a left-back.

Walsall sign Emmanuel Adegboyega on loan from Norwich

"It's a great move for me and I'm very happy to be here. I felt like it was time for me to step out of my comfort zone and go out on loan," he told the club's website.

"The conversations with the head coach were really positive. He didn't have to say much, he already convinced me from minute one so I'm looking forward to getting started and to get my first senior minutes in English football.

Head coach Mat Sadler added: "We're really pleased to have Emmanuel in the building.

"Manny is someone who we looked to sign at the start of the season before he made his move to Norwich so we're pleased that we've now got the opportunity to take him on loan for the second half of the season.

"He brings competition for places in a back line that is doing really well at the moment but Manny will bring different skills and different abilities to that department. We are looking forward to working with him."

Man City confirm sale of Zack Steffen to Colorado Rapids

Manchester City have announced that goalkeeper Zack Steffen has completed a permanent transfer to MLS side Colorado Rapids.

The 28-year-old joining the Citizens in the summer of 2019 from Columbus Crew and acted as backup to first-choice goalkeeper Ederson.

Steffen only made 21 first-team appearances under manager Pep Guardiola, including 16 outings in domestic cup competitions.

The USA international fell down the pecking order following the arrival of new number two Stefan Ortega in the summer of 2022, and as a result joined Championship club Middlesbrough on loan last season.

Peterborough sign Jed Steer on short-term deal

"I am really looking forward to coming in and helping the squad during this period," Steer told the club website.

"Obviously, the team are doing really well, you can see it is a brilliant environment to come into and I am excited to meet the rest of the squad and of course the GK union.

"I have probably risen the average age considerably as I know it is a young squad, but I will be here for everyone, pass on the experience and do all I can to help while I am with the football club."

Manager Darren Ferguson added: "It is a move that just makes common sense. Nick is currently injured, so we wanted to make sure we had cover in the goalkeeping position while he is unavailable, and Jed will come in and provide that short-term cover.

"Jed has good experience, and he will challenge Fynn while he is with us. It is unfair on a very young goalkeeper (Jake West), to be on the bench at this moment in time. I am pleased that Jed is on board and am looking forward to working with him."

Girona chief rubbishes speculation of Barcelona, Chelsea bids for players

Girona chairman Pere Guardiola has rubbished reports linking some of the La Liga high-flyers' star men with January exits to revered European clubs.

Under the tutelage of Michel, Girona have stunned the Spanish footballing landscape to amass a staggering 45 points from their opening 18 La Liga matches in the 2023-24 season, sitting second in the table behind Real Madrid.

Only the head-to-head record is keeping Los Blancos ahead of Girona, who spent three seasons in the second tier before returning to the big time in 2022, finishing in an unspectacular 10th place last season.

Girona's remarkable exploits have inevitably led to rumours of some of their integral players joining esteemed European clubs in January, with striker Artem Dovbyk and midfielder Aleix Garcia of particular interest.

Arsenal 'set to recall Marquinhos from Nantes loan'

Arsenal are expected to recall Brazilian winger Marquinhos from his loan spell at Nantes in January, according to a report.

The 20-year-old has been nothing more than a bit-part player during his time in Ligue 1, playing just seven times for Les Canaris in Ligue 1 and setting up one goal in the process.

Six of Marquinhos's appearances in the French top flight have come as a substitute, and his solitary start saw him last just 58 minutes in a 1-0 win over Clermont on September 17.

Prior to the winter break, the former Sao Paulo youngster came on as a second-half substitute against Paris Saint-Germain and Brest, but he was left on the bench against Lyon on December 20.

Erik ten Hag coy on Jadon Sancho future amid Dortmund interest

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has said that he has "no news" on a possible departure for Jadon Sancho during the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has not featured for the Red Devils since appearing off the bench in their 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League at the end of August.

Sancho was a notable absentee from the squad against Arsenal on September 3, and Ten Hag said after the match that poor performances in training had led to him being left out.

The ex-Manchester City youngster disputed that in a post on social media, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat", and the relationship between Sancho and Ten Hag has broken down.

Arsenal 'prioritising new left-back signing in January'

Arsenal are reportedly prioritising the signing of a new left-back in the January transfer window but may have to settle for a loan deal.

Having splashed the cash on Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber in a summer spending spree exceeding £200m, as well as signing David Raya on loan with an option to buy for £27m, the Gunners' business will be limited in the winter window.

Mikel Arteta's men must tread carefully around Financial Fair Play regulations, but having only accrued four points from their last five Premier League matches, Gooners are crying out for winter arrivals.

The Gunners have been expected to make a big-money striker their number one priority for 2024, but moves for a new number nine will likely have to wait until the summer transfer window, especially with Eddie Nketiah set to stay put in January.

Ten Hag confirms three contract renewals, Varane and Martial talks

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has revealed that contract extensions have been triggered for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal Mejbri.

All three players only had deals at Old Trafford until the end of the campaign, but the club had the option to renewal their contracts for a further 12 months, and Ten Hag has confirmed that the trio's deals now run until June 2025.

The Red Devils manager also revealed during his press conference on Thursday that talks were continuing with Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial, with the duo out of contract this summer.

Man United have decided against triggering an option in Varane's deal, allegedly due to the size of his wages, but the experienced centre-back is still believed to be in the club's plans moving forward.

Chelsea allow Matos to join Huddersfield on loan

Chelsea have announced that Alex Matos has joined Huddersfield Town on loan for the rest of 2023-24.

Last summer, the Blues won the race to sign the midfielder from Norwich City on a free transfer, the expectation being that he would become a regular in the academy setup.

Instead, the 19-year-old has regularly featured in Chelsea's squads for Premier League fixtures, being selected on the substitutes' bench on 13 occasions.

However, his solitary top-flight outing came in added-on time against Fulham back in October, while the playmaker was also provided with three minutes at the end of the 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup.

Huddersfield sign Alex Matos on loan from Chelsea

"With so many important games to come, improving our options in midfield early in the window was crucial as we've seen the impact that injuries can have on the way we want to play as a team," said manager Darren Moore.

"Alex has a fantastic pedigree, exciting career to date and huge hunger and desire to succeed right at the very highest level of the game - as his manager, it's that mentality and application that I find most exciting about him.

"A little bit different to all of our current options, I'm keen to get working with him straight away to see how his game can complement and enhance not only his teammates in midfield, but the side as a whole."

Sporting director Mark Cartwright added: "It's rare that young players of Alex's ability become available to loan, but thanks in part to the relationship we have built with Chelsea and our reputation in helping talented young players grow, it was clear to both parties that this would be a mutually beneficial move.

"There's been no secret about Alex's ability since his time with Norwich City, so it was no surprise to see a side of Chelsea's stature come in to sign him in the summer. It speaks volumes about his character and ability that, having only recently turned 19, he's already placed himself within first team consideration.

"Alex brings us fresh energy and dynamism within our midfield options, whilst complimenting the players we already have to call on. We think those relationships and partnerships will quickly flourish, and we look forward to watching on to see how he progresses over the next few months in blue and white."

Real Madrid 'willing to pay £25.9m for Juanlu Sanchez'

Real Madrid have reportedly told Sevilla that they are prepared to pay €30m (£25.9m) for defender Juanlu Sanchez during this summer's transfer window.

The 20-year-old came through the youth system at Sevilla, making 68 appearances for their second side before debuting for the first team in the Copa del Rey in December 2021.

Juanlu's La Liga debut also came in late 2021, but he did not feature at senior level in the second half of the 2021-22 campaign and spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Mirandes in the Segunda Division.

An impressive season saw him contribute two goals and five assists in 38 outings for Mirandes, and the defender then returned to Estadio Ramon last summer to compete for a first-team spot.

Frank plays down January exit for Arsenal-linked Toney

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has again played down suggestions that Ivan Toney could leave the club during the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old's eight-month suspension for breaching Football Association betting regulations will come to an end this month, with the striker bidding to be involved in Brentford's Premier League contest with Nottingham Forest on January 20.

Toney scored 21 goals and registered five assists in 35 appearances for the Bees last season, with 20 of those strikes coming in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Englishman has managed 68 goals and 21 assists in 124 appearances for his current side since making the move from Peterborough United in 2020.

Xavi: 'Barcelona cannot afford Mbappe, Haaland'

Barcelona head coach Xavi has admitted that his club are not able to compete for talents such as Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland due to their tricky financial situation.

Mbappe's deal with Paris Saint-Germain is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that foreign clubs are currently able to discuss a pre-contract with the France international.

Real Madrid remain the favourites for the World Cup winner, but there have recently been claims that Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the situation due to the fact that the forward could be available on a free transfer.

Any move for Mbappe will still cost a considerable amount of money, though, as he is likely to command one of the biggest signing-on fees in the history of football, while his wages will also be substantial.

Wolves boss O'Neil plays down Kalajdzic exit talk

Gary O'Neil has suggested that forward Sasa Kalajdzic could remain at Wolverhampton Wanderers for the remainder of the season.

The West Midlands outfit have enjoyed a solid first half to the season, accumulating 28 points and scoring 30 goals from their 20 matches in the Premier League.

As a result, Wolves sit in 11th spot and just three points adrift of seventh-placed Brighton & Hove Albion, who they play next, but the form of their front three has led to some squad members being left without regular game time.

Fabio Silva has already departed Molineux to link up with Rangers on loan, and speculation persists that Kalajdzic could follow the Portuguese out of the exit door.

Bayern Munich are reportedly lining up a move for Stuttgart centre-forward Serhou Guirassy.

The 27-year-old has been in strong form for his German club during the 2023-24 campaign, netting 19 times in 16 appearances in all competitions, in addition to providing two assists.

Guirassy has 17 goals in the Bundesliga this season, with only Bayern forward Harry Kane (21) netting more times in Germany's top flight during the 2023-24 campaign.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding Guirassy's future in recent weeks, with Manchester United said to be exploring the possibility of bringing him to Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti expecting quiet transfer window at Real Madrid

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has seemingly ruled out the Spanish giants making any moves during the January transfer window.

There had been claims that Los Blancos were considering signing a new centre-back this month, having lost David Alaba to a long-term knee issue.

Eder Militao has also been out since August with an ACL injury, meaning that Ancelotti's options in the middle of the defence are limited, but the Italian confirmed ahead of Wednesday's clash with Mallorca that the club would not be dipping into the market for another defender.

Dani Carvajal, Vinicius Junior and Arda Guler all returned to the squad against Mallorca, while Eduardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy could feature against Arandina in the Copa del Rey this weekend, and Ancelotti has said that the team's returning players will mean that the squad will be boosted without bringing in additions.

Ten Hag 'demands to keep transfer veto under Ratcliffe'

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly determined to keep hold of his transfer veto at the club under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

On Christmas Eve, the Red Devils confirmed that Ratcliffe would be arriving at Old Trafford as a minority shareholder, with the deal expected to be ratified by the Premier League in around a month.

Ratcliffe and his INEOS team will take over football operations at the club, and it is believed that director of sport at INEOS Sir Dave Brailsford will revamp Man United's recruitment department.
